When you constantly post articles and do your best promote your blog through social media like LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc. and you experience not an increase of traffic to your blog or not an increase in RSS feed subscribers than you maybe should check out if you actually follow these steps below.
For your information, I did not invent them. I have only put them here together to help you.
Here they are:
1. Improve Your Content Quality
Your visitors and subscribers want to benefit from your blog. When you give them content they have read anywhere else before, or it does not help and benefit them, they simply click away and do not subscribe or unsubscribe from your feed. Don’t bore them!
Tip: Go through your content and ask yourself, do you like what you read right now!
2. Keep The Focus On Your Audience
Write to benefit your audience and do not oversell yourself! They are interested what you have to say, that’s why they read your blog. It’s not necessary to overplay it!
Tip: Ask family members and friends to give you a feedback on this point if you or not oversell yourself!
3. Link Out!
Place link out from your blog when ever you discover a great and helpful source for your readership! Bloggers help each other! The will also se that you made a link back to them and become curious and visit your blog as well. A result can be that anybody of them puts a back link to you and boost your traffic up!
Tip: Check out where you can add great resources within your posts and include a link!
4. Pimp Up Your Blog Theme
It’s the same thing like you want access to an exclusive VIP club! If you look like a poor little guy, they will not let you in! You have to look GOOD. So have you blog as well.
Tip: If you use WordPress, visit ‘Free Themes Directory’ here you can download nice and stylish themes which make you look like more professional and sexy! Later, if necessary, you can step by step customize your theme.
5. Make Your Navigation EASY!
Don’t waste the time of your targeted audience by letting them search for a link to click on it to read the message! Make it easy and clearly arranged to ensure they find the content they are searching for very quick!
Tip: Ask family members and friends to give you a feedback on your blog navigation.
6. Don’t Scare Your Targeted Audience With An Avalanche of Ads.
Do you want to gain respect as an expert in your field out there? Or do you want become one of the other thousand digital ‘advertising columns’?
Don’t confuse your audience with a flood of advertising ads. Give them what they are on your blog, to get information and maybe learn something.
Tip: Ask family members and friends to give you a feedback on the advertisment count and the impact to them!
7. Your RSS Feed
Make sure your RSS feed works. Yes, I have visited some blogs out there where I wanted to subscribe to the RSS feed, but it doesn’t work!
Tip: Test your Feeds right NOW!
8. Reply Accurately To Your Blog Comments
Step into interaction with your audience. Only about 10% of your visitors have the courage to leave a comment on your post. Reward them and communicate with them! Show the other 90% that they are welcome to leave a comment and there is no reason to be scared of anything!
Tip: If not done yet, go to each of your commented blog posts and reply with a friendly comment! Encourage the other 90% to step into a discussion with you!

Because it can harm your reputation and make you look like a spammer to the social bookmarking sites!
Social bookmarking is not there to pushing your own content!
A better way is to generate quality content like valuable and informative pillar articles and to comment on other related blogs.
By doing this you build relationships to other bloggers and gain momentum to get people interested to bookmark your articles on their favourite social bookmarking website.
If you are using WordPress then there is an easy way to let the search engines like Google know that you have created a new post by using Google XML Sitemap Generator tool.
Read my previous post. Here I have explained it a little deeper.
Part Eight Of 8 Powerful Ways For Your Inbound Marketing

Before a couple of month I was researching several services, because I want to learn which one suits my needs the best way. One of those services was a large and specialized hosting provider.
A business partner recommended them to me and told me that a server how I want them configured could cost about $1,600 to $1,900 per month, from this specialized hosting provider and I was curious and went to their homepage.
I took the time to watch the intro video where the CEO explained the business value, service, security, etc. which their customers can experience with them.
I liked what the CEO has stated in the video and I decided to go through the website to see what they have to offer to me.
During my study of the hosting packages a live chat window appeared and I was invited to take a live chat with a pre sales rep.
I thought by myself: ‘That’s pretty cool, looks like they take care of interested visitors and are prepared to convert them to clients!’
OK, I accepted the offer to the live chat and explained my project and the requirements. The pre sales rep answered my questions properly and we agreed that somebody of the sales department will contact me after the chat with a proposal for the pricing of the custom server and included services.
I’ve sent the chat transcript to my email and anticipated the direct contact from the sales rep and the promised proposal by email.
About two month later, I received an email from this hosting provider.
No, it was not the proposal! It was a marketing message to download a whitepaper about the good performance of the hosting services …
Yes, I know what you think: Where in the hell is the proposal?
This month I received a further email from this company! Again it was a whitepaper, but still no proposal!
Until today I did not received any proposal from this company!
I was directed to this company by ‘word of mouth’ from a business partner. No costs for them to acquire me as a lead and I was interested and willing to buy, to spent up to $1,900 per month!
Maybe they don’t want my business, maybe they don’t like me, and maybe they don’t know how to do business?
Whatever!
Would you do business with them or recommend them to your friends and business partners? I am pretty sure, I will not! For me as a potential client this is very bad experience!
Everybody is talking about how to reach the customer, with Social Media here and Inbound Marketing there … UuuAhhh … what a Buzz and nice sounding words!
Nobody asks what happen when I have addressed my message to them and the prospect is knocking on my door?
What are the steps to be done, to convert them from a prospect, to a lead to a paying customer? I think this process is pretty much underestimated!
CONCLUSION:
YOU WILL LOOSE THE GAME IF YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO CONVERT LEADS INTO PAYING CUSTOMERS!
Setup a bullet proof lead and sales process within your business, or you will LOSE 2.0
