Bad News for Bloggers – Online Ad Revenues Down in 2009
Barclays Media team has updated their advertising forecasts for all ad verticals of online media for 2009
The highest estimate is set for online search, which is expected to grow 20% in 2009.
For 2009 it is estimated for U.S. Internet advertising revenue to decrease from $28.3 billion to $25.1 billion. A 20% growth in Search, a 2% decline in Auctions and Other and 5% growth in Lead Generation & E-mail.

For you as a blogger-publisher it is important now to figure out which ad network suit your niche topic the best. To be sure you have choosen the right one for your topic, you have to test drive the actually existing ad networks one behind another.
Be aware to not take the results for granted!
Measure your results to ensure the ad network STILL delivers, which can change. If changes happen you have the information right on time and you can find another ad network which delivers the results you deserve. This process is ongoing! You need to measure, proof and again and again!
