Is Twitter Worth One Billion?

Today I’ve read on TechCrunch this headline ‘Twitter Closing New Venture Round At $1 Billion Valuation’ and I asked myself is twitter really worth one billion?

When you ask this question from the side of actual revenue, than not! But this is not the resent point of view to watch twitter from.

The valuation is more set to the future and the potential revenue which twitter will be able to produce with the actually mentioned and the planned revenue streams.

For the US only, the marketing monetization value for one registered user is about $112 per year. Twitter has more than 50 million users.

You can simply multiply the mentioned $112 with the user count of 50 million, and growing!

It looks like that the real future potential valuation of twitter goes far above the actual valuation of one billion dollars.

In my opinion this will also depend of the monetization strategy and the revenue streams implemented by twitter in the near future.

Is twitter worth one billion? In my opinion, far more …! Go ahead twitter you will make it!
