How TO LOOSE 2.0 If You Don’t Know Your Job!

Before a couple of month I was researching several services, because I want to learn which one suits my needs the best way. One of those services was a large and specialized hosting provider.

angry How TO LOOSE 2.0 If You Don’t Know Your Job! A business partner recommended them to me and told me that a server how I want them configured could cost about $1,600 to $1,900 per month, from this specialized hosting provider and I was curious and went to their homepage.

I took the time to watch the intro video where the CEO explained the business value, service, security, etc. which their customers can experience with them.

I liked what the CEO has stated in the video and I decided to go through the website to see what they have to offer to me.

During my study of the hosting packages a live chat window appeared and I was invited to take a live chat with a pre sales rep.

I thought by myself: ‘That’s pretty cool, looks like they take care of interested visitors and are prepared to convert them to clients!’

OK, I accepted the offer to the live chat and explained my project and the requirements. The pre sales rep answered my questions properly and we agreed that somebody of the sales department will contact me after the chat with a proposal for the pricing of the custom server and included services.

I’ve sent the chat transcript to my email and anticipated the direct contact from the sales rep and the promised proposal by email.

About two month later, I received an email from this hosting provider.

No, it was not the proposal! It was a marketing message to download a whitepaper about the good performance of the hosting services …

Yes, I know what you think: Where in the hell is the proposal?

This month I received a further email from this company! Again it was a whitepaper, but still no proposal!

Until today I did not received any proposal from this company!

I was directed to this company by ‘word of mouth’ from a business partner. No costs for them to acquire me as a lead and I was interested and willing to buy, to spent up to $1,900 per month!

Maybe they don’t want my business, maybe they don’t like me, and maybe they don’t know how to do business?

Whatever!

Would you do business with them or recommend them to your friends and business partners? I am pretty sure, I will not! For me as a potential client this is very bad experience!

Everybody is talking about how to reach the customer, with Social Media here and Inbound Marketing there … UuuAhhh … what a Buzz and nice sounding words!

Nobody asks what happen when I have addressed my message to them and the prospect is knocking on my door?

What are the steps to be done, to convert them from a prospect, to a lead to a paying customer? I think this process is pretty much underestimated!

CONCLUSION:

  • No matter how you build your marketing,
  • No matter where you do your marketing in Google AdWords, Social Media or even through telepathy,
  • No matter if you do inbound or outbound marketing,

YOU WILL LOOSE THE GAME IF YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO CONVERT LEADS INTO PAYING CUSTOMERS!

I have received an email from one of my RSS Feed subscribers. In this email he asked me ‘Why I do not post every day like other bloggers out there?’.

This is a good question and I will try to answer it accurately.

avalanche Why Should I Write A Blog Post Every Day? In these times we are overwhelmed with an avalance of messages like email newsletters, blog posts, advertisements, etc. Sometimes this are too many information’s to be taken into account at once!

Some of those are really valuable. But in my opinion the most are not, because these are info’s which actually have been published and are now rewritten to publish them again!

I have come to the conclusion, when I have some good and valuable info for you; I like to post it within my blog. I do this is to save your valuable time and to give you the opportunity to better differ between all of these information’s which are spread out there.

By the way, please tell me which kind of information – topic you are interested most and I will try to focus more on what you are interested in.

Barclays Media team has updated their advertising forecasts for all ad verticals of online media for 2009

The highest estimate is set for online search, which is expected to grow 20% in 2009.

For 2009 it is estimated for U.S. Internet advertising revenue to decrease from $28.3 billion to $25.1 billion. A 20% growth in Search, a 2% decline in Auctions and Other and 5% growth in Lead Generation & E-mail.

For you as a blogger-publisher it is important now to figure out which ad network suit your niche topic the best. To be sure you have choosen the right one for your topic, you have to test drive the actually existing ad networks one behind another.
